Chantea, thank you for your comment and support. It is so beautiful when the scriptures come together like this. This keeps us in the awe of God.

I never correlated the story of Abraham with God sacrificing His only Son but as I read it, everything made sense. The relationship Abraham had with God fueled his faith in God and caused him to not question the command from Him to sacrifice Isaac. God’s love for His people didn’t cause Him to think twice when sacrificing His Son and His Son obeyed. Lord, may I have the faith and obedience of Abraham. In Jesus name, amen! Well done! I look forward to reading more.

Adrian, thank you for your comment and support. I loved your “stop sign moment: “The thing that really stopped me in my tracks was when you said “Abraham loved so deeply he was willing to give, not wanting to withhold anything good thing from Him… Even his son”. That was a stop sign for me that made me ask myself do I have a love/ Faith like Abraham.” This is a wonderful place to meditate as we draw closer to His death & resurrection.

This was a really well done piece in so many ways. The first being the correlation between Abraham sacrificing Isaac and God sacrificing Jesus was amazingly done. To truly sit back and realize what it says about the love God has for us to sacrifice His son who did no wrong nor knew any wrong was powerful. The thing that really stopped me in my tracks was when you said “ Abraham loved so deeply he was willing to give, not wanting to withhold anything good thing from Him… Even his son”. That was a stop sign for me that made me ask myself do I have a love/ Faith like Abraham. Thank you for sharing this amazing article
